BOARD MEMBERS
PASTOR WILLIAM ''BILL'' OLSEN
Small World International Ministries was founded by President and Founder Pastor William “Bill” Olsen while he was living overseas and traveling throughout the provinces of the Philippines. During his travels, he gained a firsthand understanding of the challenges many children face in accessing proper education and essential support. Pastor Olsen personally witnessed the lack of educational opportunities and resources available to children in rural and remote areas. He realized how far even one dollar could go toward helping a child pursue a brighter future, and from that realization, he began the journey of establishing Small World International Ministries (SWIM), an organization dedicated to helping children access education, build confidence, and develop the skills and opportunities they need to create a brighter future.
AARON SEVERTSON
Aaron serves as the Secretary of Small World International Ministries, working closely with the Founder to support the organization’s mission and ongoing activities. Based in the United States, he helps with planning, coordination, communication, and decision-making, providing steady support as the organization continues to serve students, children, and families in need.
MARICRIS FLORES TUBONG
Maricris is the Treasurer of Small World International Ministries, supporting the organization’s mission of creating opportunities and bringing hope to children, students, and families in need. She contributes her time, perspective, and commitment to help guide the organization’s programs and initiatives as it continues to serve communities and invest in brighter futures.
DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL MEDIA AND GATHERING
JULIA IRISH S. PONTIOSO
Julia serves as the Director of Gathering & Social Media for Small World International Ministries, supporting outreach gatherings, community engagement, events, partnerships, and the organization’s digital presence. She works hands-on in planning and coordinating activities, connecting with partners, supporting outreach efforts, and helping bring the organization’s mission to life through meaningful events and initiatives. As the first Small World International Ministries scholar, her journey reflects what is possible when a student is given the opportunity, support, and encouragement to pursue her dreams. Now a fourth-year Bachelor of Physical Education student and future educator, Julia hopes to carry that same spirit of service forward by creating opportunities and hope for others. Through her work, she is committed to giving back to the community that has helped shape her journey and to helping create the same opportunities for others that she was once given.
