SWIM FIRST OUTREACH PROGRAM

Sharing Hope Through Basic Needs

Our first outreach program was held in Barangay Barra, Dipolog City, marking the beginning of Small World International Ministries’ journey of serving communities and sharing hope. What started as a simple desire to help became an opportunity to bring people together through compassion, generosity, and love. Through the support of volunteers and partners, the program provided school supplies, food, and other basic needs to children and families in the community. Beyond the material support, the day was filled with games, laughter, conversations, and meaningful moments that reminded everyone that even the smallest gesture can make someone feel seen, valued, and cared for. This outreach was more than a one-day event. It was the first expression of a growing commitment to serve, encourage, and create opportunities for communities in need. It showed us that when people come together with willing hearts, simple acts of kindness can become something much greater. Sharing hope does not always require something big. Sometimes, it begins with a meal, a school supply, a helping hand, or simply showing someone that they matter. This was our first step, and we look forward to taking many more steps toward a world filled with hope, opportunity, and compassion.

The 2025–2026 State of the School Address (SOSA) and Stakeholder Recognition and Engagement Program (SREP) was held by Gulayon Integrated School to recognize and appreciate the individuals, organizations, and stakeholders who have contributed to the school’s programs and efforts in supporting its learners. During the event, Small World International Ministries (SWIM) was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of its support and contribution to the school community. The recognition reflects SWIM’s commitment to supporting educational initiatives that help learners develop their skills, strengthen their values, and pursue greater opportunities. The event also highlighted the importance of collaboration between schools and community partners in creating meaningful opportunities for learners. SWIM is grateful to Gulayon Integrated School, under the leadership of Principal Maria Riza Z. Lagroma, for recognizing its efforts and for welcoming the organization as a partner in supporting the school and its learners. This recognition represents more than an award. It reflects a shared commitment to education, partnership, and creating brighter futures for children and young people.
